We set up Bee Saviour Behaviour as a not-for-profit organisation called a Community Benefit Society. This is a kind of community owned co-operative where the organisation is focused on making things better for the whole community rather than the members of the co-operative alone.

If you’re interested you can see the full rules of our organisation here.

If you’re less keen to dive into the entire rules… here are some important bits:

“The objects of the Society shall be to carry on any business for the benefit of the community by educating and promoting biodiversity and the importance of bees.”

“All those wishing to become a Member must support the objects of the Society and complete an application for membership which shall include an application for at least one share in the Society.”
